With her shoes drenched, Tracy walked through the street in the rain. The winter had come. She got the idea first from her feet – through the hole in the shoes, she could feel the winter directly. “It was getting colder and colder, and I should buy some warm clothes and shoes for Jack and Lucy”. She thought, and she did. As soon as she held this idea, she stepped in a clothing shop. Without any hesitation, she bought two coats and two pairs of shoes for her dear sisters and brothers. Mother and father had left them forever, and as the oldest child, she should take the responsibility of taking care of the younger kids. She did this very well. But she was not so kind to herself. When he shop assistant asked her to buy herself a pair of shoes to change the wet ones she wore on her feet. She smiled and said it was unnecessary because her house was very near. But what she would do next was to spend half an hour to walk back with the wet shoes – actually, also the only shoes she could wear to work.. I must dry and repair it tonight and it would work again just like before. And looking at what she was holding, she became happy at the thought of the exciting faces of her dear Jack and Lucy.

She went in her house with this idea. Lucy and Jack had cooked the dinner and were waiting for her at the table. Good children, she kissed them and showed them the presents. Just like what she predicted, Jack and Lucy became very excited at the presents but what made her surprised was that they did not open the gifts but gave another box to her.

"Open it, sister. We love you."

More excited that the younger children, she open the beautiful box. It was a pair of snow boots. On the grey vamp, she found the famous logo – ugg. It was what she admired and did not make up mind to buy.

"Sister, taking care of yourself is also taking care of us." Jack said to her with a flushed face, he was a little bit shy.

Lucy came to her and kissed her face then smiled. "With the Ugg, we hope you will be warm through the whole winter."

“Yes, my dear, it is warm, so warm." Tracy smiled, with tears in eyes. She looked out the winter and felt the spring had come.
