To get your thinking about what to buy, here are the best looks for the coming season.
Fluoro shadow

Swipe fluoro shadow – in a messy Fashion – over your lids (as seen at Balenciaga) or highlight the inner corners of your eyes for an alternative to metallics.
Peach cheeks
Forgo bronzer in favour of peach or apricot-coloured blush (as seen at Louis Vuitton). Use a matte shade for intensity or choose one with a hint of shimmer for a more subtle approach.
Vivid lips
Lips painted in rich, vibrant shades – lips that pop – will be a hit this spring/summer. Try a shade other than red; opt for a candy pink pout or a slick of tangerine gloss (as seen at prada) instead.
Faux lashes
Statement lashes are a bit of fun. Try gluing them to your upper and lower lashes (as seen at YSL and Miu Miu); keeping the rest of your face reasonably bare, for balance sake.
Glossy skin
Matt is over, go for glow by opting for skin enhancers and highlighters, mixing them with your base for an all-over shimmer (as seen at Calvin Klein).
Greasy black lids
A perfectly applied smoky eye is so passé. Revive an old favourite by finishing off a dark eye with water-based gloss (as seen at Lanvin).
Neutrals
Neutral, not natural is the aim this season. Be sure to select pink-based flesh tones that will enhance your features, making you look fresh not muddy, and apply them liberally, paying attention to the contours of your cheeks and eye sockets. (as seen at Burberry Prorsum).
Temporary tats
Much has been made of fake tattoos, they’ve been popping up everywhere. That said the moment has arrived for you to flaunt them to full effect. Dot dainty transferable tattoos in the shape of flowers and birds around your wrists, thighs and collar bones (as seen at Chanel) for a look that reads ready but far from rough.

Coco Chanel invented a fashion vocabulary — camellias, the black dress, the double-C logo, the elongated octagon shape of the Chanel No. 5 perfume stopper — and she surrounded herself with these inspirations in her posh Paris apartment.

“In this apartment, you can understand the universe of Mademoiselle Chanel,” says Babin — who is wearing a terrific little black, red and white plaid jacket (Chanel, of course).

To enter Chanel’s universe, you climb a curved staircase, up steps carpeted in beige, with white trim. When new collections were presented, Chanel watched them being modeled from these stairs. During the show, she would sit perched on the fifth step down from her apartment, in front of a wall of mirrors. Looking down, she could see the models and the audience reaction to the clothes — without anyone seeing her.

‘Invisible Perfection’

Upstairs, Chanel’s apartment is like the nest of an exotic bird. It’s filled with antique lacquered Chinese screens — camellias are part of the pattern. Chanel flattened the burgundy-colored screens like wallpaper, or folded them at the entryway to her drawing room.

“Mademoiselle Chanel hated doors,” Babin explains. “She hoped that by placing them in front of the door, her guests might not remember to leave.”

A design genius, a self-promoter, a fabulist (she made things up), and afraid of being alone — Chanel was a complicated character. She was born poor, but a series of rich and powerful lovers paved her way to fame and fortune. Among her liaisons were a Nazi intelligence officer during World War II, and the Duke of Westminster — the richest man in England.

Some of the duke’s lavish gifts, such as three cigarette boxes, sit on a table in Chanel’s apartment. She smoked quite a lot — those strong, rich, Gitanes cigarettes. The elongated octagon-shaped cigarette boxes are engraved with the duke’s coat of arms. The boxes are silver on the outside and gold, the more precious metal, on the inside — a luxury hidden from view.

The idea of “luxury for yourself” was an important Chanel principle, Babin explains. “We call this notion ‘invisible perfection.’ ”

Chanel’s apartment is filled with visible perfections — crystal chandeliers, gleaming mirrors, pairs of gilded Chinese horses, an ancient Russian icon from her friend Igor Stravinsky, a golden hand her friend Alberto Giacometti sculpted for her, and a shaft of wheat painted by her friend Salvador Dali.

It’s all very opulent, sophisticated and elegant, and yet the apartment isn’t a large or grand space. Though the objects are impressive and luxurious, the apartment feels embracing and intimate. Each room is small, and an important room is missing.

Every evening, Chanel left her apartment, walked five minutes across rue Cambon to the Place Vendome, and entered the Ritz through the rear door to retire for the night.

“Mademoiselle Chanel never slept here,” Babin explains. There is no bedroom.

Rather, she had a private suite at the Ritz — with all those Ritzy amenities.

2. Little black dress  was designed by Coco Channel in 1920s. Today millions of women have such a dress in their wardrobes. Fashion observers believe it a “rule of fashion” that every woman must own a simple, elegant black  style dress. Edith Piaf wore a sheath dress throughout her career. Critics considered that the dress focused audience more on her singing not on appearance. “A fashion that does not reach the streets is not a fashion. You cannot have fashion out of touch with street life” (Channel)

3. It was just a hobby. Before Coco became a fashion legend, she used to work as a clerk in a small hosiery shop. Sometimes legends start from humble beginnings to grandeur! Chanel started her career by designing hats. Later it became a deeper interest. Hats were innovative and fancy and soon became a hit among aristocracy in Paris.

4. Hotel Ritz in Paris was her home for more than 30 years. German officer Dincklage (her lover) made arrangements for her to stay in the hotel. She met many famous celebrities Salvador Dali, Picasso, Romy Schneider, Churchill, Stravinsky, Jean Cocteau, Paul Morand, the Duke of Westminster, André Malraux, Erik Satie and etc. She lived always free and often alone, like all remarkable individuals.

5. Did you know that she had started the Sun tan! Sun tanning didn’t become fashionable by accident. In 1923 when Coco was on a cruise she got burnt by sun rays. Coco managed to make it seem fashionable – a brilliant example that it is all in the attitude! “Success is made with what can’t be learned”(Channel).

Chanel gardenia perfume

Besides Chanel 5, Chanel gardenia is also known as a shining floral composition of perfume. The stylishness of this fragrance is outstanding. Gardenia was reformulated in the 1980s, in company with Bois des Iles and Cuir de Russie.

The Vision of Coco Chanel

The main vision of perfume from Chanel is to make women who tend to wear their perfumes feel a sense of independence and of belonging to an important part of the culture. These days, there is no doubt that Chanel is known as the very archetype of perfumes. The Fashion powerhouse was born in 1909, when the first shop was opened in Paris by Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, better known as Coco Chanel. From humble beginnings on the ground floor of the Balsan home, the shop soon moved to the Rue Cambon in Paris.

During the 1913 – 1917 period Chanel sold a variety of clothing, including women’s sportswear, blazers, skirts and sweaters. Her designs soon became popular for their simplicity.

In the 1920’s Coco Chanel literally revolutionized the fashion haute couture industry, by replacing the rigid “corset Style” with fashion based on comfort and elegance, thus firmly establishing her reputation as a fashion couturier. In 1921 she released the first perfume, which we all know as the world famous Chanel No. 5. Needless to say, the introduction of this fragrance was a massive success. In 1924 she further expanded the business to include costume jewelry

In 1925, Coco introduced the World to her signature cardigan jacket and then in 1926, her trademark and immediately successful “little black dress”. Her shorter skirts and relaxed fashions were in sharp contrast to the attire popular with previous generations. In later years she was also responsible for the introduction of women’s pea jackets,bell bottom pants and the timeless Chanel suit.

During World War II there were strong suspicions that Coco Chanel was on a very friendly basis with the Germans due mostly to her affair with a Nazi Officer. After the liberation of Paris by the Allies she was actually arrested for aiding Germany, but an intervention by Winston Churchill facilitated her release. She was, however, forced to flee to Switzerland under threat of reprisals by the French against all women who were suspected of having collaborated with Nazi Germany.

On her return to Paris in 1953 she discovered that another famous fashion house, Christian Dior, was now the dominant force in the market place. By renewing her business relationship with former Chanel partner Pierre Wertheimer, Coco was soon able to catapult the Chanel label to prominence once again.

Coco Chanel died in 1971.

Pierre Wertheimer’s son, Alain, took over the company in 1974. He rekindled interest in the fading Chanel No. 5 fragrance with some intelligent marketing and also secured the services of designer Karl Lagerfeld, previously the Head Designer for Fendi.

Coco Chanel and her designs have made a lasting impression on the fashion industry. With Headquarters based in Paris, her legacy contimues in over 200 Chanel boutiques worldwide.

Let’s look back upon the former works of our gramp, during Karl’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection, there is an interesting designer bag. Well, it’s true many famous designers or celebrities such as Paris Hilton have printed their own figures on the Chanel bags, and they are really well designed. But this one, I think it’s more ingenious.

I gotta say, I have to admit that by all accounts, he is everywhere… Teddy Bear, sporting goods, the Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel Handbags Brands owned by him etc. That guy, does he need a rest?

It features a black and white tote with Karl’s pixelated headshot printed on the front. However, that’s not enough. The handles are the finishing touch, which are exactly placed the his ski goggles or his significant sunglasses. And the model Angela Lindvall has mastered the essence of this chanel handbags, who let her show perform the best of Karl’s creation. Look at her, she is walking on the runway peering through the handles. The bag appears like a Karl’s mask, it has made the whole show with his New Fashion sense.

Although this chanel puress made in simple way, it’s just due to its intelligent design and special quality sense that has given the zest to this bag. So it could not be cheap, it’s price tagged $ 1900 exclusively for sale at Colette.
