The event highlighted items by ralph lauren’s various labels – Blue, Black and Purple.
The Ralph Lauren Blue label offers more casual looks, including an Aspen-worthy oatmeal sweater with red and green knit ($375). The Ralph Lauren Purple label features more debonair looks, offering coats and suits to last through years of executive soirées. A Purple label suit with an estimated value of $5,000 was auctioned at the event with proceeds going to The Montreal Children’s Hospital.
Ralph Lauren Black is the company’s most cutting-edge label, with sleek fitted (and mostly black) looks. A racing jacket with a polyester shell and lamb’s leather piping is padded with rayon ($1,050) though it still manages to give off a trim look – as does an extra-soft and lightweight 100 per cent cashmere V-neck sweater with black-on-black details ($835).

The store may have opened in May, but luxury men’s store Maison 1455 in Cours Mont-Royal just held its grand opening event this fall. Good thing, too. The dark and handsome crowd, sipping on Glenmorangie Scotch, was all the more able to enjoy the cozy sweaters and sleek coats on display and on models, perfect for autumn strolling.
