The episode, where the cracks in the Kim Kardashian-Kris Humphries marriage were evident and which would eventually lead to divorce, was the biggest in series history. The telecast drew 3.3 million in the 18-49 demo and 1.6 million in women 18-34.

"Kourtney & Kim" has run for 10 episodes in each of its two seasons. This past season the show averaged 3.2 million viewers.

In other E! programming on Sunday, the cabler’s SAG Awards red carpet coverage drew 1.5 million viewers and latenight skein "After Lately" garnered 1.7 million.

One recent example is the latest installment of “Gossip Girl” (more on that in a moment). Sadly, the original “Gossip Girl” series was such a huge hit it has been made into a successful TV program. Fans abound, but do adults really know what’s in these novels and the TV programs? Probably not. Let me fill you in with a quick synopsis of the type of content that’s in the newest novel, “Gossip Girl Psycho Killer.”

Super-rich, bratty NYC boarding school girls who spend a lot of time being drunk, high, having sex, spewing endless foul language, and plotting revenge in the form of killing the people who make them angry. Nice, right? Marketed to adolescents age 15 and older (just when hormones and an absence of clear critical thinking occurs), I hardly think this is the kind of material teenage girls should be reading. Not only does this fill a kid’s head with desensitized ideas, but offers some sort of “green light” to behave in a similar Fashion to one degree or another.

Best-selling books do not necessarily equate with great writing or books that offer the reader something of value they can take away with them. Conversely, what you’ll always find in this column and its companion website (greatestbooksforkids.com) are books that don’t compromise a child’s intellect or sense of right and wrong. Quite simply, the only books you’ll find here are the ones really worth reading, for all kinds of good reasons.

If Eben can find seven wonders in Sassafras Springs that are as remarkable and interesting as the real Seven Wonders of the World, Pa will send him on a trip out West. While Eben is pretty sure that will be impossible, he decides to give it a try. What he discovers comes as a total surprise in many ways.

A remarkable book on several levels, this selection serves as a reminder that wonders exist everywhere if one is willing to look for them – even in our own backyard.

Last September the suspects were all allegedly involved in a heist at Musto Jewelers in Woburn. All four suspects — including the daughter of a Boston police officer — face up to 40 charges each.

There was a large police presence in court on Thursday in support of Officer Robert DeNapoli, who was shot in the heist. DeNapoli was in court with his wife.

The four suspects entered not guilty pleas, including Antonio Matos, 25, of Boston, is accused of shooting DeNapoli. Matos was also shot as he attempted to flee the scene. Court documents show that Matos admitted to his roll and said it was in the planning stages for months.

Hector Baez-Cruz, 21, of Boston; Erianiss Murillo, 17, of Dorchester; and Allegra Martinez, 18, of Providence were also in court. Martinez’s father is a Boston police officer.

“You heard what they had to say…I’d rather just have no comment right now…My side is, I’m going to stand by my daughter,” said Officer Carlos Martinez, Allegra Martinez’s father.

Matos’ attorney did not say much after the court appearance saying, “I really have no further comment.”

Woburn’s police chief says his officers wanted to be in court on Thursday.

“We’re a close department,” said Chief Robert Ferullo of the Woburn Police Department. “We work together and we’re here to support all our guys and to move forward.”

Matos and Baez-Cruz held on $500,000 cash bail with the condition that they have no direct or indict contact with any witnesses in the case. Murillo and Allegra Martinez were ordered held on $250,000 cash bail with the same condition, according to the District Attorney.
