After divorcing with my ex husband Tom three years ago, my son Terry and I live together. In order to give Terry a better life, I have to work very hard and sometimes I come back home very late so Terry had to make dinner himself. Every time when I get back home late in the evening, Terry has already slept and I do not have the chance to kiss him good night, it really hurts me. Luckily Terry is very understanding, he has never blamed me for being so busy and he grows up just like other boys in his same age.

However, a few days before, Terry’s teacher Ms Mayer called me and asked me whether I had any money problem those days because Terry had been worked in a book store for three months. I was shocked because the money I gave him everyday must be enough. Then what had happened? I was so worried and blamed myself for not taking care of Terry. So since that day, I came back home much earlier than before, I found that Terry always came home very late and he really seemed very tired. Was Terry in trouble? That’s my fault. I tried to believe Terry but I was really worried about him so I decided to get know the reason. So one day, I left work very early and waited outside of Terry’s school. He was the first student who came out when the bell rang. I followed him and found him walked into a MBT store and directly picked a pair of MBT on sale and bought them right away. And it was a Style for woman, was Terry in love? I suddenly realized he was already 15 year old.

I felt lost, Terry was not my little boy anymore and he had his own secret. To my surprise, when Terry came back home that day, he gave that pair of MBT on sale to me! I was so happy and even was unable to breathe, my eyes were filled with tears and I had to look up the ceiling so Terry would not see me crying. Terry told me that he could not make so much money so he had to buy me a pair of cheap MBT. It was more than a pair of cheap MBT, it was everything.
