Ed Hardy brings cut-toure to the UK!

Nothing makes a statement like Ed Hardy. The US Fashion label, based on the designs of tattoo guru Don Ed Hardy, brings urban art and embellishment together to create some seriously bling and eye-catching pieces. With French designer Christian Audigier at the helm and A-list fans including Madonna, Britney and Heidi Klum, the brand has taken the world by storm. Now finaaaally Ed Hardy has planted itself firmly on our shores, as it celebrated the launch of its very first UK store yesterday at Westfield!

And working with Christian since the start has been LA-based t-shirt cutter, (or ‘LA cut-oure artist to the stars’ as he prefers to be known) Adam Saaks. With the scissor-wielding mitts of a real life Edward Scissorhands (but with a much better tan), Adam snips, ties and creates incredible garments as you wear them, working with a range of Ed Hardy pieces so his customers (who include Janice Dickinson, Keira Knightley, Cameron Diaz and Mariah Carey) always have something one-of-a-kind, perfectly suited to them, and of course, utterly fabulous.

So, when we heard Adam was swapping the LA sunshine for the cold English weather to mark the Ed Hardy launch, well we just had to head over to the new Westfield store and meet the man himself. Check out this video of our chat with Adam. Watch out for some seriously “LA” shades polishing, a great Mariah anecdote, and a random off-screen cameo from Adam’s actor friend Christian Cooke from ITV’s Demons (no? Just us?)…
