Demi Lovato celebrated turning 18 by rocking a pair of killer Christian Louboutin studded slingbacks, dining with friend at New York City’s trendy restaurant Buddakan, and buying her family a house. Say what?
“I just bought a house,” Demi spills. “For me to give [that] to my family on my birthday, that was the best present.”
Her new Mediterranean-Style pad (that’s NOT it on the left) is located outside of Los Angeles and comes complete with a pool and water slide.
“It’s got pretty much everything you could possibly imagine in it,” the birthday girl says. Now that she’s officially a legal adult, Demi does have plans to gain some independence from mom and dad. Instead of living in the main house with them, she’ll live in a smaller house in the backyard.
“It’s the most beautiful, homey-feeling house,” the Texas native dishes. Although Demi says she loves her mega purchase, she won’t be able to enjoy the new casa too much until her summer tour with the Jonas Brothers wraps up.
That’s okay — being on the road gives her plenty of time to plan the housewarming party.
