While on a Chanel high (see my previous Pin Code piece), it is only fair to pay equal respect to the woman and legend behind the brand that has single-handedly made quilted bags and ballerina flats universal Fashion must-haves. Gabrielle, or "Coco" as she preferred, was a complex and complicated woman. Or, atleast, that is how she is portrayed in the three (yes, three) books that came out just this season. Having only read one so far, I can promise that Coco’s romances are explored just as [...]

A few days ago, Christopher Muther wrote about Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld’s exclusive collection for Macy’s Impulse and now we finally have photos. Standout pieces include tongue-in-cheek starched collars (we assume an ode to Lagerfeld’s signature uniform) and a fair amount of tasteful and demure work wears. The collection’s price point peaks at $169 for a knee-length tweed coat and arrive at select stores August 31. [Images via Factory PR]

Whist at the Royal Ascot Fashion Show, I spied an eye-catching black and white hat only to find the wearer was self-taught milliner Ilda di Vico.
Tell me about the outfit you are wearing today.
"I started thinking of the design and began work on the hat months ago.
I bought some Chanel fabric from Joel and Son in London [England’s leading couture fabric store] and asked my local tailor to create a Dioresque suit. I then trimmed my hat with frayed pieces of the same fabric. The hat is [...]

When the welcome is Owen Wilson, Laird Hamilton, Gabrielle Reece and 200-plus more paddlers and surfers forming a human peace sign in the ocean off the coast of Malibu, you know the party is going to be good.
So began the benefit dinner for the Natural Resources Defense Council’s Ocean Initiative on Saturday at the Charles Gwathmey-designed home of Ron and Kelly Meyer, sponsored by Chanel’s J12 line of watches. Not only was the sight inspirational, it’s apparently on its way to becoming a new Guinness world [...]

Women in daringly short skirts and skyscraper heels. Bouncers in black suits and silver sunglasses at the entrance to a luxe show tent.
But this wasn’t Tuileries de Paris, the famed French gardens that host fall and spring Fashion shows. It was Rosemont Middle School.
Waitresses served chocolate-covered strawberries and cupcakes topped with interlocking Cs, the logo of the renowned French fashion house Chanel, as the school played host Monday evening to its first-ever student fashion show.

Man kauft also ein Stück

Chanel-Schmuck ist nie "Made in China". Im Idealfall baumelt irgendwo ein kleiner [...]
