AFTER weeks of gloomy weather, the sunshine over the Guards Polo Club elevated spirits to a suitably high level as Henry Holland, Bip Ling, Tyrone Wood and Tamsin Egerton soaked up the sunshine in the Chinawhite tent at the Cartier International Cup yesterday.

Elizabeth Taylor fans will soon have the chance to get up close and personal with the Hollywood icon—and maybe own some of her famous jewels, if you have the big bucks. A collection of Taylor’s most prized possessions, including pieces from her $145 million jewelry collection, will soon be on display at Christie’s auction house before going under the hammer.

Travelling with small children can be a nightmare for most parents.
But as Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban made their way through L.A.X. with their daughters, both little girls behaved impeccably.
Country singer Keith carried a snoozing Sunday Rose, who will be three in July, who appeared to be while Nicole was charged with carrying the newest member of their family little Faith Margaret.

In a sea of utterly beautiful women wearing spectacular designer dresses, she walked up the red-carpet stairs. Her dress, at the 2011 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute gala, was by Stella McCartney.
It was a dark-teal number with embroidered silver stars running from the waist to a short train and it was teamed with heels by Sergio Rossi and jewellery by Cartier.

Louis Vuitton, the French maker of laminated canvas handbags, is the world’s most valuable luxury brand for the sixth consecutive year, a research group says.
The brand, owned by Paris-based LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, has a value of $US24.3 billion ($22.6 billion), an increase of 23 per cent from 2010, according to Millward Brown Optimor’s 2011 BrandZ study published today. That’s almost as much as the combined values of hermes, gucci and Chanel, which ranked second, third and fourth in this year’s luxury-brand standings.
