Yorkdale Mall announced another massive makeover at the beginning of this year, and on April 23, Canadian shoe retailer Ron White joined such names as Tiffany & Co., Burberry and Louis Vuitton. The 3,000-square-foot space is roughly double the size of the previous Ron White flagship at the Manulife Centre. It will offer a variety of new products, including two new designer collections and an entire section dedicated to Ron White’s “Signature” line, which debuted at the Golden Globes back in January.

THE opening of luxury brand Burberry’s flagship store in Sydney’s CBD has marked a trend – call it a Fashion – for bigger, more lavish and, of course, more expensive boutiques in the booming top end of the retail market.
Burberry’s new 820sq m flagship quietly opened for business on the weekend and already trade has been brisk.
One Burberry sales assistant who asked not to be named said it was "like Christmas in here on the weekend".

Sales at Burberry, the UK-listed luxury goods retailer, rose by almost a third over the second half of its financial year.
Over the six months to March 31 total revenue through Burberry’s retail, wholesale and licensing channels rose by 30pc to £860m. Sales in its shops around the world rose by 42pc to £596m, while wholesale sales to third parties rose by 14pc to £214m. Revenue from its licensing operations – which the company is reducing – fell by 5pc to £50m.

"Harry Potter" star Emma Watson has confirmed that she’s leaving Brown University, but not for the reason everyone thinks.
Instead of the alleged bullying she received at the hands of fellow Ivy Leaguers ("Three points to Gryffindor!" being the most hilarious) Watson says she’s leaving so she can take a class that Brown doesn’t offer.

A Cornwall resident, who became a successful Fashion model, wants aspiring models to be aware of the pitfalls of venturing into the world of modeling.
“I have been exposed to the wonderful world of modeling as well as the dangers and risks,” explains Allison Jodoin. “My goal is to teach girls what it takes to be a good model and how they can obtain their safety in the industry.”

Burberry and its Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey rocked the British Fashion Awards this week, taking home the Designer Brand award and British Fashion council Designer of the Year award, respectively. This is the fourth British Fashion Award for Bailey, who previously won for Menswear Designer of the Year (2008, 2007) and Designer of the year (2005).
Following the ceremony, Bailey announced that Burberry Prorsum will continue to show during London Fashion Week.

BERLIN (Reuters Life!) – Burberry is planning to stick to its knitting in terms of branding but it is looking to expand leather goods, children’s wear and sportswear, the creative head of the British Fashion group said on Tuesday.
