Iconix Brand Group, Inc. (ICON – Analyst Report) saw record revenue in the first quarter as its collection of brands saw strong growth, including internationally. Even with shares near a 10-year high, this strong buy still has attractive valuations, with a forward P/E of 14.3.
Iconix Brand Group was formerly Candie’s but changed its name to acknowledge the wealth of consumer brands the company now owns and licenses to major retailers and manufacturers.

Peter Falk, who marshaled actorly tics, prop room appurtenances and his own physical idiosyncrasies to personify Columbo, one of the most famous and beloved fictional detectives in television history, died on Thursday night at his home in Beverly Hills, Calif. He was 83. His death was announced in a statement from Larry Larson, a longtime friend and the lawyer for Mr. Falk’s wife, Shera. He had been treated for Alzheimer’s disease in recent years.
