Let me just state one thing clear – I’ve never been a fan of sports. Actually, I loosely describe myself as a lazy person when it comes to sportive physical activity. I know it’s far from being a good attitude, but it’s who I am (for now). The only exception is tennis – which I love to practice, if given time and opportunity, with my Adored Husband.
Now when I look at this Colette Away Kit for the French National Football Team, I feel my fashheart fluttering with [...]

What a way to finish off Fashion Week! Christopher Esber was the last ticket on our RAFW dance card, and thanks to his inspired S/S vision the week has finished on a incredibly high note. The designer spoke to us earlier about his much-anticipated show, and hinted that we’d see tuxedo and beach culture references today. Even with the heads up, we were still (pleasantly) surprised by Mr Esber’s incredible tailoring and fresh aesthetic. Traditionally masculine suit shapes were re-cut in interesting ways, with hems given geometric [...]

When Gordon isn’t wearing his jammies, his Style is pretty basic. Onesies, leggings, socks, his wardrobe is so bland that the subject has never come up between my husband and I. This weekend, however, I took the opportunity to step up his look for a family wedding and suddenly the little guys clothes became an issue. Tiny (adorable) man-sandals were vetoed. A plaid Scally Cap narrowly made the cut. Madras Pants and collared shirts were given the stink eye.
There will be plenty of years for him [...]

Over the course of 40 years in the Fashion business, I have never before been accused of running a sweatshop. To be honest, I’m shocked.’
This is David Reiss talking on the morning this newspaper published a piece about the nude ‘Shola’ dress the Duchess of Cambridge wore to meet Michelle Obama.
The article accused the Reiss fashion brand of paying sweatshop wages (£168 a month, which is above the minimum wage) in a Romanian factory, where women work in bleak overheated conditions, behind barred windows and an 8ft [...]

COSTING £175 ($270) on the high street, it helped Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, outshine America’s First Lady.
But the Reiss dress (left) that made such an impression when the pair met last week was produced by women paid only 99p an hour in a poor suburb of the Romanian capital, Bucharest.
The camel-coloured "Shola" design was made for less than $23 by seamstresses earning $1.54 an hour less than the average salary for textile workers in the eastern European nation.
Kate Middleton, or Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge [...]

White lace is suddenly out and about. Shalini Shah takes note of its many avatars at the Cannes film festival
There’s a certain stigma attached to the delicate beauty of white lace. Traditionally, it’s always been what brides wear. Or something that makes for old people’s altar cloths and curtains. And coverlets and doilies. So it was both clever and ironic when Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, in the D&G Spring/ Summer 2011 line showcased in Milan, turned to the hope chest — with its paraphernalia of bed linen, [...]
